PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an active matrix type display device of a voltage control system from deteriorating in picture quality owing to crosstalk due to parasitic capacitance between a pixel electrode and a video signal line while suppressing a movement blur when a moving picture is displayed. SOLUTION: A voltage to be applied to each video signal line is corrected by correcting a gray-level signal Lsig so that variation (crosstalk) in pixel electrode potential due to potential variation of a video signal is suppressed through parasitic capacitance between each pixel electrode and two video signal lines disposed across it. For the correction, 1st to 4th correction tables Pd, Pb, Nd, and Nb are prepared. A correction quantity determination section 34 selects one of the correction tables based upon a polarity signal Ip and a sub-frame period identification signal Isf and refers to the selected correction table to determine a correction quantityΔL for the gray-level signal Lsig based upon a self source gray level corresponding to the voltage to be applied to the two video signal lines and other source gray levels.
