PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve phase noise characteristics in a voltage control oscillator having less power consumption and a smaller circuit area. SOLUTION: The voltage control oscillator is provided with an LC resonance circuit 1 having an inductance L11 and variable capacities C11, C12 mutually connected in parallel, paired oscillation transistors 2, 3 connected to the LC resonance circuit 1 and having negative conductance for maintaining oscillation generated by the LC resonance circuit 1, and a current source 4. The current source 4 and the paired oscillation transistor 2 are connected with each other via a resistor 8. Thus, it is possible to suppress the input of an even-order higher harmonic wave due to the oscillation operation of the LC resonance circuit 1 into the current source 4. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
