PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To excellently synthesize images by correcting the misalignment of the images and trapezoidal distortion without minutely setting a positional relationship between and among a plurality of projection means for projecting projection images and a screen when compositing the plurality of projection images on the screen. SOLUTION: The projection image correction device is provided with first/second projection means (30, 34) for projecting images on the same projection face, an image pickup means (25) for imaging the images on the projection face, a first instruction means (26) for instructing the first/second projection means to project a testing image on the projection face at different timing, respectively, a second instruction means (26) for instructing the image pickup means to photograph the testing image when the testing image is projected on the projection face, and correction means (28, 32) for correcting the images given to the first/second projection means on the basis of the testing image photographed by the image pickup means from the first projection means and that from the second projection means.
