PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a band-pass filter in which resolution of frequency can be enhanced while sustaining high noise generation prevention effect, and occurrence of delay can be prevented. SOLUTION: The band-pass filter has a plurality of stages of filter bank wherein a first type filter having a split band-pass filter for splitting an input signal asymmetrically in a plurality of bands and down sampling the split signals and a synthetic band-pass filter for removing distortion generated by up sampling these signals is employed in the filter band excepting that located at the end position, and a second type filter different from the first type filter is employed in the filter band at the end position.
