PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vending machine for enabling a user to extract merchandise and return coins in a short time without vertically moving his or her body. SOLUTION: The vending machine is provided with a freely openable/closeable external door 2 on the front face of a cabinet main body 1, and a merchandise output port 8 from which merchandise sent from the container is conveyed by the operation of a merchandise selection button and a coin return port 9 from which return coins are sent by the operation of a return lever on the external door 2. In the automatic vending machine, convenience when extracting the return coins after extracting the merchandise is improved by arranging the merchandise output port 8 and the coin return port 9 horizontally in a row. Also, the merchandise output port 8 and the coin return port 9 are horizontally arranged in a row and integrated, so that an output port assembly 10 can be cylindrically formed, and a flap 11 closing the opening of the merchandise output port 8 is circularly formed of transparent plastic, and slide-moved in a vertical direction, so that the visibility of the merchandise can be improved.
