PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic endoscope, which allows easier observation of an object to be observed such as a treatment tool to be inserted in an upper view angle. SOLUTION: A lighting window and an observation window adjacently provided on a distal end portion 11 of an insertion part 7 are respectively equipped with a lighting lens 21 and an objective optical system 22, and a CCD 24 is arranged at an imaging location of the objective optical system 22. Equalizing the upper view angle and a lower view angle by the objective optical system 22 corresponding to an image imaged on the upper half and the lower half of the CCD 24 allows easier observation of the treatment tool to be inserted in the upper view angle.
