The network has a base station with sub clients communicating with main clients. A last Internet protocol (IP) address is assigned to a gateway interface. A server of the station is designed as a main server (HS) that communicates with uplink servers of the station. The main server has a unit that computes efficiency of the uplink servers and switches data communication based on the efficiency in an automatic and dynamic manner. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a wireless local area network.
