The camshaft adjuster (1) for internal combustion engines with a rotor connected to the camshaft (2) and a stator (4) driven by a crankshaft, wherein a control slide controlling pressure chambers between the rotor and the stator, held in an intermediate position by compression springs, and charged with a first and a second oil pressure, is formed as a sleeve, in the inner chamber of which a tensioning screw is installed at least section-wise. The sleeve adjacent to its piston faces is pressurized by the first oil pressure and the second oil pressure.
