Solid fuel burner has movable heat insulation plate which when heating water only covers view window to reduce heat radiation

The burner has a burner chamber (2) with view window (1) and a heat exchanger to heat the water. A heat insulation plate (5) is mounted movable between two positions and during sole heating of the water the plate is in one position where it covers the view window. the motor-driven plate can move vertically up and down. The view window is multi-layered with an inner screen (1b) and outer screen (1a) wherein the interspace (8) between the screens has an inflow opening and outflow opening for the cooling air.
