The invention relates to a liquid filter heat exchanger unit (1) which can be supplied with liquid via an inlet (11), which flows through the heat exchanger (3) to the pre-filtration side (6) of the filter element (5). The invention also relates to a bypass (16) which is arranged in the filter housing (4), which joins an inlet channel (11), which is used to supply the liquid which is to be purified, to the chamber in the housing which receives the filter element.
