<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent nonuniform color and color shift by precisely detecting the peripheral speed of a transfer belt at low costs, in a color image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A drum rotation load detecting section 26 obtains a detection load by detecting load applied to one of photoreceptor drums. A control section 31 controls a transfer belt drive section 27. An inflection point in a diagram showing a relation between the rotating speed of the transfer conveyance belt, subjected to changes, and detection load obtained from the drum rotation load detecting section is assumed to indicate that the rotating speed of the photoreceptor drum and that of the transfer conveyance belt are equal. Then, the transfer conveyance belt is rotated at a corrected rotating speed in which the rotating speed of the transfer belt at this flection point is altered by predetermined proportion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
