PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image sensor, a multi-chip type image sensor and a close contact type image sensor capable of suppressing degradation of the image quality due to a sensitivity difference between colors so as to suppress increase in a chip area. SOLUTION: The image sensor includes 3 lines of light receiving element lines on the light receiving opening of which R, G, B color filters are provided, respectively, wherein the light receiving area of the light emitting elements of the G light receiving element line is greater than the light receiving area of the light emitting elements of the B, R light receiving element lines, the light receiving element part gravity center of the light receiving elements of each light receiving element line is arranged at an equal interval (interval Q) between the light receiving element lines, and the light receiving elements of the G light receiving element lines whose light receiving area is greatest is not arranged at the light emitting element lines at both ends of the R, G, B light emitting element lines, but arranged at the light receiving element line in the middle.
