<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PKN1a knockout animal usable for developing a psychotropic agent preventing outbreak of trauma to a horror experience, a psychotropic agent enhancing potential to spatial perception or memory and to provide a method for screening psychotropic agents. <P>SOLUTION: The invention relates to the knockout animal with suppressed PKN1a expression obtained by disrupting the PKN1a gene on the homologous chromosome. The PKN1a knockout mouse produced has a unique character such as reduction of horror learning ability and enhancing potential to spatial perception in action inspection.
