<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus satisfactorily preventing toner adhesion to a lens face of a LED print head with a simple configuration at a low cost, in a cleanerless image forming apparatus in which the LED print head is placed below a photoreceptor. <P>SOLUTION: The cleanerless image forming apparatus is equipped with: the photoreceptor 12 to be formed with an electrostatic latent image on its surface; an electrostatic charger 14 having an electrostatic charging roll 14a for electrostatically charging the photoreceptor 12 to a prescribed potential; the LED print head 16 for forming the electrostatic latent image on the photoreceptor 12; and a development device 18 for developing the electrostatic latent image formed on the photoreceptor to a visible image by transferring the toner thereto. The LED print head 16 is placed below the photoreceptor 12 and the electrostatic charging roll 14a contacts the surface of the photoreceptor 12. An air current shielding means 15 for shielding the air current near the photoreceptor 12 between the electrostatic charging roll 14a and the LED print head 16 is placed therebetween. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
