<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for treating the static capability information and dynamic capability information of a printer into each other in such a manner as to merge them, without modification of an application, by making a host system dynamically generate the attribute file of the printer such as PPD, in an information device for doing printing by using the attribute file of the printer. <P>SOLUTION: An attribute replacing table is provided in the attribute file of the printer.
