PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic light emitting device that is capable of performing solution process such as spin coating and is excellent in efficiency and service life characteristics using two or more of phosphorescent host substances. SOLUTION: In the organic light emitting device having a light emitting layer between a first electrode and a second electrode, the light emitting layer is the organic light emitting device containing a matrix polymer, two or more of phosphorescent host substances and one or more of phosphorescent dopants. As this allows energy transfer efficiency to be improved by using a mixed phosphorescent host substance, thereby enabling the system to improve the efficiency and service life characteristics of the device, the device can be produced in solution process such as spin coating.
