PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a subdata recording density in an optical disk recording medium where main data is recorded by combination of a pit with a land and subata is recorded by a mark formed on a reflection film by irradiating the reflection film with laser by recording power. SOLUTION: A subdata recording operation for recording the subdata by the mark formed on the reflection film by irradiating the reflection film with laser by recording power is carried out separately for a recording operation only for the pit and a recording operation only for the land. Thus, the subdata is recorded for both of pit and land sides, and a subdata recording density is increased more than that when only the pit side or only the land side alone is recorded.
