PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens drive unit capable of stabilizing a lens posture by suppressing unnecessary oscillation to be applied to a lens holder by simple structure. SOLUTION: The lens drive unit is constituted so that the unnecessary oscillation is suppressed by damping force acting on an annular damping member 16 arranged in a magnetic flux density inclination part of magnetic fields H when the unnecessary oscillation is applied to a movable part such as a lens 11 by installing an annular coil 13 for drive to be attached to a holder 12 which holds the lens 11 in the radially distributed magnetic fields H and arranging the annular damping member 16 composed of high electric conduction material on the upper side of the coil 13 for drive.
