PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blind capable of preventing a user from mistaking an operation direction of an operating member, and also, enabling the user to compact the operating member during a non-operational state. SOLUTION: The blind is provided with a screen 18 and an operating part 20 for executing ascending/descending operation of the screen 18. The operating part 20 is provided with a freely rotatable pulley 34, the operating member 36, whose one end is coupled to the pulley 34 so that the one end can be wound or unwound by the pulley 34, a flat spiral spring 38 for constantly energizing the operating member 36 in the direction that the operating member 36 is wound by the pulley 34, and a stopper 44 for regulating so as to prevent the operating member 36 from being wound by the pulley 34 beyond a prescribed amount of winding. A hanging part of the operating member 36, which is regulated by the stopper 44 so as not to be wound by the pulley beyond the prescribed amount of winding, becomes a grip part composed of a grip cord 42 that can be gripped by an operator.
