PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for a powder coating, capable of preventing formation of pinholes caused by foaming, etc., excellent in smoothness of a coat therefrom, and capable of giving the coat having good corrosion resistance and mechanical characteristics. SOLUTION: This resin composition for the powder coating contains a compound (A) having a glycidyl group (x1) and an acetal group (x2) in its molecule, an epoxy group-containing solid resin (B) other than the compound (A), and a compound (C) having a functional group reactive with an epoxy group, wherein a content of the compound (A) is 0.5-10 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of a total amount of the epoxy group-containing solid resin (B) and the compound (C).
