<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system and a control method therefor that can efficiently use licenses and printer resources by enabling printers for image-expanding PDL data to have a license for a processing program issued by a server when necessary. <P>SOLUTION: The server 101 for managing licenses for PDL data processing programs is connected to a plurality of printers 102 to 104 via a network 106. The printer 102, when requested to print PDL data by a PC 105, have a license for a processing program for image-expanding the PDL data issued by the server 101.
