<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce labor for designating document data from enormous document data and to conceal data to which a user has no access right, when the user designates the document data and requests processing on it. <P>SOLUTION: A printer stores history information which includes identification information for identifying processed document data about print processing on documents 1 and 2 carried out by operation by the user A based on history information storage processing. Afterward, when a user B presses a button 1002, which represents that the designation of a document among recently used documents on a document operation screen 800, it is determined whether the user B has an access right or not to the respective document data (documents 1 and 2) corresponding to the identification information included in the history information.
