GENERATION OF PRINT DATA ACCORDING TO PAPER SIZE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for generating print data so as to reproduce an appropriate view of an image according to the size of paper for printing the image.

SOLUTION: A lookup table LUT is provided for each paper size, and a LUT to be used is selected according to a paper size. A color conversion part 120 converts image data RGB to ink amount data CMYK by use of a selected 1D-LUT125 that is the selected LUT. Print data PD is generated based on the ink amount data CMYK.
