<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for repairing a molten iron preliminary treatment furnace capable of depositing a slag coating layer of a long lifetime on an inner wall of the molten iron preliminary treatment furnace in a short time by utilizing slag remaining in the furnace. <P>SOLUTION: Fe and oxygen in the slag are reacted to increase FeO by performing oxygen blow in the remaining slag 3 in the molten iron preliminary treatment furnace 1. The slag is heated in the heat generation reaction, and the melting point of the slag is dropped. Next, limestone of the diameter substantially equal to the slag depth is thrown for cooling and solidification to deposit a slag coating layer on an inner wall of the furnace. The slag composition becomes CaO rich by throwing-in of limestone, having high melting point, resulting to be a firm protective layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
