PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel technique of forming an electroconductive polymer nano wire monodispersed in an aqueous solution. SOLUTION: By mixing an aprotic polar solvent solution containing a single-strandedβ-1,3-glucan (for example, schizophyllan) with an aqueous solution of a water soluble electroconductive polymer, a composite of a nano wire of the elctropconductive polymer entrapped in a hydrophobic inner space ofβ-1,3-glucan is formed. It is preferred that as a suitable example of the electroconductive polymer, a polythiophene having a quaternary ammonium modified group is used and as the aprotic polar solvent, dimethyl sulfoxide is used.
