PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing technique capable of suppressing generation of a horizontal line in an overlapping part. SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises a plurality of head blocks, an image storing means for storing image data, a plurality of nozzles which are respectively formed on a plurality of the head blocks, and is characterized by that a part of a plurality of these nozzles forms the overlapping part on a joining part of adjoining two head blocks, a nozzle distributing means for determining to perform drawing by using either one nozzle between two nozzles based on random numbers in a joining region corresponding to the overlapping part among image data, and a parameter determining means for determining a size parameter specifying the size of a distribution objective region performing the nozzle distribution processing. The image forming apparatus is characterized by that the parameter determining means determines the size parameter in accordance with a mean gradation value in the region in the vicinity of the joining region.
