PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an optical instrument which can correctly read an object even if the distance between a reading section and an object of measurement varies, a photographing method and an inkjet recording manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The optical instrument comprises an optical sensor where a plurality of elements are arranged on a plane surface, and an image forming system, wherein the surface of the object of measurement, the main plane surface of a lens, and the plane surface on which the elements of the optical sensor are arranged are not mutually parallel with each other and do not intersect at one point when the planes are extended.
