METHOD FOR SUPPRESSING PRODUCTION OF MALODOROUS SUBSTANCE IN PAPER MILL WASTE WATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently suppress production of malodorous substances by subjecting paper mill waste water discharged from a pulping process and/or a paper making process to air bubbling treatment just before flocculation precipitation treatment to suppress growth of anaerobic bacteria during the flocculation precipitation treatment. SOLUTION: In a method for suppressing production of malodorous substances in the paper mill, the paper mill waste water discharged from the pulping process and the paper making process is subjected to the air bubbling treatment to adjust dissolved oxygen (DO) in the waste water to 3mg/L to 9mg/L and then is subjected to the flocculation precipitation treatment.
