Detergent or bleach composition comprising a host-guest complex of diacyl and/or tetraacyl peroxide bleaching species in the form of an aggregate having a weight average particle size of at least 106 µm wherein the diacyl peroxide bleaching species is selected from diacyl peroxides of the general formula: R<SUP>1</SUP>-C(O)-OO-(O)C-R<SUP>2</SUP> in which R<SUP>1</SUP> represents a C<SUB>6</SUB>-C<SUB>18</SUB> alkyl group and R<SUP>2</SUP> represents an aliphatic group compatible with a peroxide moiety, such that R<SUP>1</SUP> and R<SUP>2</SUP> together contain a total of 8 to 30 carbon atoms; the tetraacyl peroxide bleaching species is selected from tetraacyl peroxides of the general formula: R<SUP>3</SUP>-C(O)-OO-C(O)-(CH<SUB>2</SUB>)n-C(O)-OO-C(O)-R<SUP>3</SUP> in which R<SUP>3</SUP> represents a C<SUB>1</SUB>-C<SUB>9</SUB> alkyl group and n represents an integer from 2 to 12.
