<p>A belt transmission device constructed by combining a high-load transmission belt (5) and pulleys (2, 4), in which noise produced by the belt that runs is reduced while sufficient durability of the pulleys (2, 4) is achieved. Micro-blasting or burnishing is applied to groove surfaces of belt grooves (6) of the pulleys (2, 4) so that the surface roughness of the surfaces satisfies y = - 0.9 × tp + 100, where tp is a length rate of load at a predetermined point in the height direction in a roughness curve that represents the shape of the groove surface of each of the pulleys (2, 4), and y is a value (altitude) that represents in percentage a ratio of the height of the predetermined position from the valley bottom at which the valley depth is maximum to a maximum height Ry.</p> |
