<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an authentication medium and an authentication method for an authentication medium that enable authenticity verification and personal authentication by the integrity of authentication information and personal authentication codes read from a plurality of images developed in the environments of ultraviolet, visible and infrared regions respectively. <P>SOLUTION: Authentication information is encoded by a preset method, the encoded pattern of the authentication information is divided into at least two patterns to produce divided patterns, and an authentication medium is manufactured with ink compositions different in each divided pattern. The ink compositions are made by combining ink compositions including substances that absorb, emit and reflect light in the wavelength regions of ultraviolet, visible and infrared regions under the radiation of at least one of ultraviolet, visible and infrared lights. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
