<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both an image processing device and an image processing method which display projection images of a target of a tubular shape such as a blood vessel along with information on the direction of scanning the target. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing device is equipped with a storage part 132 for storing data on a three-dimensional image of the target of the tubular shape in a subject, a colored map generating part 129 which calculates a tangent vector of the target at a plurality of points on the target by using the data on the three-dimensional image, calculates an angle to a projection plane of the tangent vector set arbitrarily, and generates data on the colored map of the target having a color value corresponding to the angle by projection to the projection plane, and a display part 127 for displaying the colored map with colors. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
