<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for molding capable of molding a seal ring on which no gate flash is produced and having a high sealability. <P>SOLUTION: A movable mold plate 2 is clamped to a fixed mold plate 1. A molten resin is injected into a cavity 13 formed between both plates 1, 2 from a sprue 14 of a gate block 5 provided on the above fixed mold plate 1 through a first runner 12, a second runner 15 and an injection gate 16 to mold a seal ring A. A gate g is sheared with the edge of the injection gate 16 to prevent the gate flash from producing by retreating the gate block 5 in such a state that each outer circumferential face of the seal ring A is constrained by the fixed mold plate 1 and the movable mold plate 2.
