PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light storage type lighting device receiving and storing illumination light irradiated from a light source, and optimizing a position of the illumination light emitted from a light-storing material when the illumination light from the light source disappears. SOLUTION: The light storage type lighting device 100 receiving and storing illumination light irradiated from a light source 5 and emitting the illumination light stored when the illumination light from the light source disappears is structured of a light storing part 1 receiving and storing light rays irradiated from the light source 5, and a direction changing part 16 for changing directions of a light-storing face of the light storing part 1 directing the light storing face of the light storing part 1 in a direction of the light source 4 while the illumination is irradiated from the light source and directing it in a different direction from the light source direction while the illumination light is not irradiated from the light source.
