PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of satisfactorily preventing an electrostatic offset of a developer from a recording medium to a fixing means. SOLUTION: A charge applying member 60 of an approximately T shape in section is arranged between a transfer section 18 and a fixing section 19 in such a manner that a top surface 63 of the charge applying member 60 intersects with an extension surface 70 extended from the rear end of a support surface 45 of a conveyance belt 38 to a downstream side in the conveyance direction of a paper sheet 3 along the support surface 45. A bias of the polarity reverse to the polarity possessed by the toner image on the paper sheet 3 is applied to the charge applying member 60. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
