PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology whereby a new master unit can easily be in alliance with slave units when an old master unit is replaced with the new master unit in a supervisory system. SOLUTION: In the supervisory system comprising the slave units 10 each provided with a sensor, the master unit 20, and a center apparatus 30, the new master unit stores identification information (e.g. a MAC address) of the old master unit, and the new master unit uses the stored identification information of the old master unit to transmit identification information of the new master unit to the slave units. The slave units store the identification information of the new master unit to their own memories so as to build up a new alliance between the master unit and the slave units.
