PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting element exhibiting excellent emission efficiency and durability (lifetime), and to provide highly reliable light emitting device and electronic apparatus comprising that light emitting element. SOLUTION: The light emitting element 1 is constituted by interposing an electron transport layer 4 principally comprising an inorganic semiconductor material, a light emitting layer L touching the electron transport layer 4, and a hole transport layer 5 touching the light emitting layer L between a negative electrode 3 and a positive electrode 6 wherein the electron transport layer 4 has a first region 41 principally comprising a first inorganic semiconductor material, and a second region 42 principally comprising a second inorganic semiconductor material and having characteristics different from those of the first region 41.
