PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily secure "light" for escape and guidance, when illumination is abruptly stopped by an earthquake occurring at night time or interruption of electric power. SOLUTION: This transparent afterglow generating device is formed of a rubber material, containing a luminous material 3 and covered on an illuminating device A for use. Normally, the luminous material in the afterglow generating device is excited by an illumination light; and when the illumination diminishes, the excited luminous material emits afterglow for a prescribed time for indicating the escape and guidance.
