PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas meter capable of judging a state of a mixed gas. SOLUTION: This electronic gas meter comprising a transmitting means 12 intermittently transmitting an ultrasonic signal to a gas flow channel; a receiving means 13 receiving the ultrasonic signal; an amplifying means 13a amplifying the ultrasonic signal received by the receiving means 13; and a gain adjusting means 14a adjusting a gain of the amplifying means 13a, further comprises a first judging means 14a for judging whether the gain of the amplifier 13a in receiving the ultrasonic signal is more than a preset rated value or not; and a second judging means 14a for judging that the measured gas is the mixed gas when it is judged that the gain of the amplifier 13a is more than the preset rated value by the first judging means 14a.
