摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake and exhaust valve device for an internal combustion engine capable of more surly cooling a hollow valve. SOLUTION: The exhaust valve 27 is formed as a hollow valve 25 having heat pipe effect. A temperature sensor 40 detecting temperature of a valve stem 28 of the exhaust valve 27 via a valve guide 23 is provided near the valve guide 23, and an oil jet 53 injecting oil to the valve stem 28 is provided. Consequently, when temperature of the valve stem 28 rises during operation of an internal combustion engine 1 and an inside of the exhaust valve 27 gets to temperature at which there is possibility of occurrence of dry out, oil is injected from the oil jet 53 toward the valve stem 28. Consequently, since temperature of the valve stem 28 drops, heat pipe effect of the exhaust valve can be maintained.
