PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous dispersion of an antistatic biodegradable resin capable of maintaining antistatic effects imparted to a synthetic resin or papers for a long period, and capable of solving the defects of a conventional method of imparting the antistatic effects by compounding an antistatic agent or coating a solution of the antistatic agent on the surface. SOLUTION: The aqueous dispersion of the antistatic biodegradable resin contains a sulfonic acid-based anionic surfactant represented by general formula (I): (R-SO<SB>3</SB>)<SB>n</SB>X [wherein, R is one of R<SB>1</SB>, R<SB>1</SB>-O and R<SB>1</SB>-Φ(wherein, R<SB>1</SB>is an aliphatic hydrocarbon; andΦis a phenyl); X is H, an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, NH<SB>3</SB>or an amine salt; and n is 1 or 2] added after dispersing a biodegradable resin in an aqueous dispersion formed by dispersing the biodegradable resin including a lactic acid-based polymer in water in the presence of a plasticizer.
