PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle seat having a seat belt and a height device capable of improving reliability of actuation, simplifying the configuration, and reducing cost. SOLUTION: In the vehicle seat, the height device 10 is provided between a vehicle side plate 6 and the sitting seat 1, and one end of a rack gear plate 60 having a pair of symmetrical lock engagement groove 66 is mounted to the sitting seat 1. One end of guide plate 42 mounting a moving plate 46 in freely vertically to the vehicle body side plate 6, and a pair of lock plate 46 forming a lock groove 53 engaged with the predetermined position of each lock engagement groove 66 by the load of a seat belt 30 is provided on the moving plate 46.
