PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weatherstrip for an automobile having a die molded part that allows a core to be easily extracted and facilitates adhering work for a slit for extracting the core. SOLUTION: In this weatherstrip having the die molded part 11 provided with a hollow part 12, a part of the slit 13 formed to extract the core 1 in the die molded part 11 is made as a cut-out opening part 13a for extracting a main body part 1b of the core 1 with at least a length in which a holding part 1a of the core 1 is capable of projecting. The remaining part of the slit 13 is closed by a thin part 13b which is thinner than thickness of the die molded part 11 and smoothes extraction of the core 1 by being extended by the force when extracting the core 1.
