PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a module type windshield wiper device capable of realizing reduction of material cost and weight reduction of a device with a slim shape having no waste portions without deteriorating rigidity, and improving work efficiency for mounting and fixing to a vehicle body. SOLUTION: A motor bracket part 30 is integrally formed to a first pivot holder 12 on a second pivot holder 14 side of a journaling part 18, and a wiper motor 80 is fixed to the first pivot holder. A slim bridging part 40 is installed to the motor bracket part 30. The slim bridging part 40 is formed slim by notching a portion of a member in an arc shape (removing wastes of the member) between a pair of fitting holes 36. Furthermore, the motor bracket part 30 (thin bridging part 40) reinforced by the wiper motor 80 can be manufactured with low rigidity by the reinforced portion (does not have to be made highly rigid more than necessary), so that the thin bridging part 40 is installed to further realize reduction of material costs and light-weight of the device.
