The profile for a building balcony frame has a U-shaped cross section made of aluminium or plastic (1), with a rectangular profile of rubber granulate or rubber (2). The rubber profile extends several millimetres over the aluminium profile. The profile can have outward bulges (4) along its upper edges. The U-shaped profile can have a longitudinal marking rib.
