<p>An oil based pigment ink composition that excels in discharge performance at printing by means of an inkjet printer, excelling in dryability and fixability upon printing on a printing medium of low cost film, such as vinyl chloride film, having no receptive layer, and that is durable in environment of outdoor use. There is provided an oil based pigment ink composition comprising at least a pigment, a polymer compound and an organic solvent, wherein methoxybutyl acetate as the organic solvent is contained in an amount of 20 to 90 wt.% based on the whole ink composition. In particular, there is provided the oil based pigment ink composition wherein as another organic solvent a nitrogenous and/or oxygenous heterocyclic compound is contained in an amount of 1 to 50 wt.% based on the whole ink composition, and/or a (poly)alkylene glycol derivative is contained in an amount of 1 to 50 wt.% based on the whole ink composition, and provided the oil based pigment ink composition which has a flash point of = 61°C, a viscosity at 25°C of 2.0 to 6.5 cp and a surface tension at 25°C of 20 to 40 mN/m.</p> |
