Method and means for calibrating a printer, including providing a moiré base pattern (2) and a complementary moiré revelator pattern (6), one as a printing file for printing by said printer and the other on a transparency. Either the revelator or the base pattern has a varying frequency and a corresponding scale (18a, 18b) allowing the calibration value to be determined by reading moire patterns (12a, 12b) formed when the base pattern and complementary revelator pattern are superposed. |
