Buckle folder with flexible inlet plate

The buckle fold mechanism has at least one fold pocket which has an entry opening (16) adjacent to at least one fold roller pair (12,14;14,20). The entry opening is bounded by an upper and a lower mouth piece. The lower mouth piece has a plate-form entry guide rail (36) which is bendable in the plate plane. The entry rail has several slots extending in the entry direction as far as the rail's edge furthest from the fold rollers.
