The control element (R1) has a housing (4) which exhibits a through hole for operating a flexible fixing element e.g. a pipe clamp or a binder. The housing has corresponding projection (7.1,7.2) for inserting in the dovetail grooves (3) of an object (1). The through hole is provided close to the base area (9) of the housing.
