<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for surely and efficiently collecting intended cells. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method comprises the steps of irradiating a cell (a)- containing specimen placed on a slide glass plate 8 with laser beams to remove unnecessary portions of the specimen other than the cells (a) from the plate 8, putting the cells (a) via an opening into a cylinder 40 and setting the resultant cylinder 40 on the plate 8, injecting a release agent 42 into a vessel defined by the plate 8 and the cylinder 40 to release the cells (a) from the plate 8, and collecting the cells (a) suspended in the release agent 42.
